Theme: Writing Against The Grain
What I’m Looking For
Microfiction: under 300 words
Drabbles: exactly 100 words
Micro-micro fiction: under 50 words
Short nonfiction: under 300 words
All genres welcome, as long as they honor the theme “Writing Against the Grain.”
Deadline: December 15, 2025
Publication: January 1, 2026 (via Substack and other markets)
Payment: Unpaid

By submitting, you grant WATG Press worldwide electronic and print rights, plus perpetual archival rights. All other rights remain with you. Full rights revert to the author the day after publication. Reprints are allowed with proper credit.
How to Submit
Send fiction/nonfiction as .doc or .docx; art as .jpg or .png
Format as you’d like it published (Times New Roman, 12 pt)
Submit polished, proofread work
Include a short bio (under 50 words) in the email body
